New Delhi: Indian PM Narendra Modi on Saturday described the Shikara rally, which was conducted on the Dal Lake in Srinagar as a part of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga', as a 'wonderful collective effort'.

"Wonderful collective effort on Dal Lake! #HarGharTiranga," Modi tweeted.

The event was held ahead of the 75th Indian Independence Day which will be celebrated on Aug 15.

The event was organized with the collective effort of the Youth Services and Sports Department of Jammu and Kashmir and the Srinagar District Administration.

J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha earlier flagged off the event.
