New Delhi: The national flag has been hoisted on Sunday at the residences of several active and slain terrorists in Kashmir Valley on the eve of Independence Day.

Family members and close relatives of many terrorists have come forward to hoist the tricolor as the nation celebrates 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, being held under the aegis of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' to commemorate the 75th Independence Day.

Father of slain Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Riyaz Ahmad Naikoo was seen hoisting the national flag at his residence at Beighpora in Srinagar. Naikoo was one of the top ten most wanted terrorists of Jammu and Kashmir killed in the year 2020.

The national flag has also been hoisted at residences of Hijbul Mujahideen commanders Zaffar Hussain Bhat and Amir Khan at Liver Srigufwara of Anantnag district.

The tricolor has also been unfurled on the house of active Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorist Aqib Nazir Shergojree in village Sarai Chadoora in Budgam district.

Similarly, the tricolor has been hoisted at the residences of active terrorists Gowhar Manzoor Mir, Asif Sheikh and Hamad Khan in Tral of Pulwama district.

The family of another active terrorist Aijaz Ahmad Bhat also hoisted the tricolor at Aripal in Tral.

The 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign has been a success in Jammu and Kashmir with people enthusiastically hoisting flags at their buildings, homes, hotels and restaurants.

The civil society organisations, citizens and politicians have come forward to join the campaign to show patriotism towards the country.
