Hyderabad influencer arrested for 'sar tan se juda' slogan against suspended BJP leader Raja Singh over Prophet remarks
Hyderabad: Syed Abdahu Kashaf, a Hyderabad-based influencer and a self-proclaimed social and civil rights activist, was Thursday arrested for endorsing 'sar tan se juda (beheading)' sloganeering against Telangana's suspended BJP MLA T Raja Singh for his Prophet remarks, media reports said.
According to an India Today report, on Monday, Kashaf posted a video sloganing ‘sar tan se juda’ and called on people to continue their protests against T Raja Singh outside the South Zone DCP's office in Hyderabad.
The following day T Raja Singh was arrested after a case was filed against him over his alleged blasphemous remarks on Prophet Muhammad. He was released the same day after he got a bail.
Kashaf admitted to using the 'sar tan se juda' slogan to protest against the alleged derogatory remarks and expressed no regret.
While speaking to India Today TV, he asserted that his intention was that the person who uses ill language against the Prophet, would suffer the punishment 'sar tan se juda' even as he claimed that did not have any intention of doing something "unconstitutional".
"That is my religious belief," he further added.
Asked about the consequences of the slogan which incited people to behead T Raja Singh for his remarks, he said, "Hyderabad is totally controlled by us."
A tailor in Rajasthan's Udaipur and a pharmacist in Maharashtra's Amravati were beheaded for supporting expelled BJP leader Nupur Sharma for her comments on Prophet Muhammad.
In the Udaipur beheading case, the culprits were seen raising the slogan in a video released after the crime.
