Pakistan flood: PM Shehbaz Sharif thanks PM Modi for his concern over losses to lives, properties
Islamabad/IBNS: Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Wednesday thanked his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi for his concern over the human and material losses caused by the devastating floods, assuring that his country will overcome the adverse effects of the natural calamity.
"I thank 🇮🇳 PM Narendra Modi @narendramodi for condolences over the human & material losses caused by floods. With their characteristic resilience the people of 🇵🇰 shall, InshaAllah, overcome the adverse effects of this natural calamity & rebuild their lives and communities," Sharif said in a tweet.

The death toll due to the ravaging flood in Pakistan touched 1,162 on Wednesday, media reports said earlier in the day.
More than a million people have been hit by the flood in Sindh's Dadu region.
According to the daily report by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), more than 3,500 people have been injured so far since June 14, reports Dawn News.
In the past 24 hours, 1,941 people were injured and 36 people died due to the deluge.
PM Modi Monday said he was saddened to see the devastation caused by the floods in Pakistan and hoped for an early restoration of normalcy.
