Don't worry over Teesta deal: Mamata

Dhaka, Feb 20 (IBNS) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday assured people of Bangladesh to keep faith on her over resolving the issue Teesta water sharing deal.

Speaking at  the ‘Boithaki Bangla’ function here, Banerjee said: "Regarding Teesta, have faith in me. We will work out a solution. I will speak to Hasina Di also."

The deal between the India and Bangladesh was shelved as Banerjee did not accept the proposed quantum of waters.

She said Bangabandhu Bhavan will be constructed in Kolkata which will be named after  founder of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Banerjee reached Dhaka on Friday.

During her visit, she will meet Bangladesh President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina .
