Teenage girl raped for two days in different hotels in Hyderabad
A teenage girl was raped in Hyderabad for two consecutive days by two men, who took her to two different hotels in the city.
Police have launched an investigation based on the CCTV footage. They are also collecting evidence from the room in the two hotels where they spent a night each, according to an NDTV report.
The police said the girl was taken to Srujana Inn and Three Castles.
Both accused, identified as Nayeemath (26) and Syed Rabish (20), have been arrested and charged with gang rape and also under the POCSO (Protection of Children Under Sexual Offences) Act, the police said, the report added.
The victim's mother had filed a police complaint alleging that her 14-year-old daughter had stepped out of the house to buy medicines late in the evening on Monday and hadn't returned home.
A case of abduction was filed after eyewitnesses said she was taken away in a car.
On Thursday, police got secret information that she would be dropped at a particular location in Hyderabad, from where she was rescued.
Both accused were arrested. The girl was sent for counselling, and medical and forensic tests.
Police are awaiting the test results.
According to the report, Rabish is a high school drop-out, while Nayeemath used to run an optical store in Saudi Arabia, from where he had returned this March.
The victim's mother has alleged that she was drugged and given some sort of alcoholic drink before she was sexually assaulted.
The girl is said to have dropped out after primary school, said the report, adding that she knew Rabish, who lived in her neighbourhood.
