Chandigarh University MMS case: Army man and woman who made MMS clips were in relationship
Sanjeev Singh, the Army man arrested from Arunachal Pradesh in the Chandigarh University MMS scandal, had a relationship with the student who has been accused of making videos of women showering in the hostel, media reports said.
Singh told the Mohali Police about his relationship with the accused student, reported India Today.
Police arrested the soldier from Sela Pass in Arunachal Pradesh with the help of local police.
It was found that he has two mobile phones.
Their connection came to light when it was found that someone was constantly texting her when the girl, an MBA student at Chandigarh University, was being questioned by college authorities.
Later, their WhatsApp chat revealed that the accused was under pressure to film the videos.
She even told Singh that he put her in an embarrassing situation by asking her for the photos and videos since she got caught taking the photos.
The accused had used Rankaj Verma’s photo to save Sanjeev Singh's number.
Rankaj Verma had claimed innocence and had said that he did not know the accused and her boyfriend from Sunny Mehta.
The report said he has filed a bail plea now.
The police custody of the accused, her boyfriend and his friend Rankaj Verma came to an end o Monday.
Police are waiting for the forensic report of the mobile phones and girl’s laptop to learn whether she clicked the photographs and made the videos.
