UAE: New Hindu Temple inaugurated in Dubai

Dubai:  UAE’s Minister of Tolerance Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan recently inaugurated a new Hindu Temple in  Jebel Ali area of Dubai city.

Embassy of India, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates tweeted: " Shiekh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance & Coexistence & Amb sunjaysudhir inaugurated the new Hindu Temple in Dubai. On the occasion, Ambassador thanked the UAE Government for their support to the 3.5 million strong Indian diaspora in the UAE."

BJP leader Priti Gandhi said: " Pictures of Dubai's majestic Hindu Temple that opened its doors for the public on Dusshera. PM @NarendraModi had witnessed the laying of the foundation stone for the temple during his visit to the UAE in February 2018."

The latest temple is an extension of the Sindhi Guru Darbar Temple, one of the oldest Hindu temples in the UAE.

It was inaugurated at a time when Hindu are busy celebrating Dussehra festival.

The foundation stone of the temple was laid in 2020.
