Agniveer recruitment rally to start in Ayodhya from tomorrow

Ayodhya (UP)/UNI: The 21-day-long army recruitment rally under Agnipath scheme will start at Dogra Regimental Centre in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya from Wednesday.

The rally covers 13 districts under the army recruiting office in Amethi. These districts include Ambedkar Nagar, Amethi, Ayodhya, Basti, Kaushambi, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Pratapgarh, Prayagraj, Rae Bareilly, Sant Kabir Nagar, Siddharth Nagar and Sultanpur.

A total of 1,05,137 youth from these districts registered for this rally. The overall registration has been 30 per cent higher than the last rally held in 2019.

Maximum candidates have registered for the Agniveer General Duty category, accounting for 81 per cent of the total registration.

All arrangements for the candidates outside the Dogra Regimental Centre have been provided by the civil administration including lighting, necessary barricading, provision of drinking water, mobile toilets and buses for ferrying candidates.

Security and crowd control measures have been put in place by the police.
