PM Modi prays at Somnath Temple in poll-bound Gujarat

Veraval (Gujarat): Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Somnath Temple on Sunday morning in poll-bound Gujarat.

PM Modi is in Gujarat where he is expected to attend at least eight programmes from Saurashtra to Surat, news agency ANI reported.

The Prime Minister, who is also the chairman of the Somnath Trust, paid obeisance to Lord Shiva at the temple.

Sharing images of his Somnath visit on Twitter, Modi wrote: “Prayed at the Somnath Temple this morning. Har Har Mahadev!”

He also hoisted the ‘Kesariya Dhwaj’ atop the temple.

The prime minister is scheduled to address four rallies in the Saurashtra region, ANI reported.

The venues of the events have been finalised at Veraval, Dhorarji, Amreli and Botad, it added.
