New Delhi/UNI: Distributing about 71,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits under Rozgar Mela on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged them to focus on capacity building to increase efficiencies while playing their roles in various government departments.

Addressing the appointees via video conferencing, the Prime Minister said, "I would urge the youth of the country to take advantage of new opportunities. I am sure that you would leave no stone unturned to augment your capacity.

"Today's appointment letters are just an entry point. That would mean a whole world of progress is opening up to you."

"Focus on increasing your abilities while working. Increase your abilities while learning. Learn good things from your seniors.

"I try to learn continuously. I never allow the student inside me to die. I keep learning from everybody, from the smallest of things," the Prime Minister continued.

Modi said that it is due to this habit he is able to do more than one work at one point of time.

I never hesitate in handling more than one work at one point of time, he added.

The Prime Minister said that Rozgar Mela is the government's endeavour to empower youth and make them the catalyst in national development.

"This Rozgar Mela shows how the government is working to provide government jobs in mission mode," he said.

The physical copies of the appointment letters to the new appointees was also handed over at 45 locations across the country except in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh.

Earlier in October, appointment letters were handed over to 75,000 newly inducted appointees under Rozgar Mela.

In addition to the categories of posts filled earlier, posts of teachers, lecturers, nurses, nursing officers, doctors, pharmacists, Radiographers and other technical and paramedical posts are also being filled, the PMO said.

A significant number of posts are being filled by the Ministry of Home Affairs in various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).

The Prime Minister also launched the Karmayogi Prarambh module. The module is an online orientation course for all new appointees in various Government departments.

The module includes code of conduct for Government servants, workplace ethics and integrity, human resource policies and other benefits and allowances that will help them to get acclimatized to the policies and transition smoothly into the new roles.

The new appointees will also get an opportunity to explore other courses on igotkarmayogi.gov.in platform to enhance their knowledge, skills and competencies.

Informing about the Mela, the PMO said that it is expected to act as a catalyst in further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development directly.
