East Champaran (Bihar)/IBNS: BJP’s win in Kurhani by-election in Bihar reflects people’s anger against Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his Mahagtbandhan government, Poll strategist-turned-politician Prashant Kishor said on Saturday.

Kishor, who is on a 3,500 km-long march in the state, said people are fed up with rampant corruption in the state.

He claimed that voters' anger against the current regime is palpable and he can confirm it having spoken to people over the course of several days.

Kishor said people had shown their disapproval of Nitish Kumar by showing black flags to him during his poll campaign in Kurhani two days before the December 5 polls.

People have so much anger against Nitish that he can’t walk without security guards even in a small village in Bihar, Kishor said.

At the event, protestors went to the extent of creating ruckus, shouting slogans against him and flinging the chairs, he said.

Prashant Kishor was a close aide of Nitish Kumar and joined JD(U) in 2018. However, he was expelled from the party two years later.

Kishor is travelling on foot across the length and breadth of Bihar as part of his Jan Suraaj campaign aimed at connecting with people and bringing them on a democratic platform.
