Ahead of Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra, Ghulam Nabi Azad set to rejoin Congress
New Delhi/Jammu/IBNS: In a boost for the Congress ahead of its top leader Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir, former Chief Minister of the erstwhile state, Ghulam Nabi Azad, is likely to rejoin the grand old party on Friday, media reports said.
Azad is likely to rejoin Congress with all his loyalists.
After quitting the Congress in August last year, Azad, who had rebelled against the party, had called out Gandhi's "immaturity".
Among key leaders who are set to rejoin Congress are former Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand, former minister Mohammad Sayeed, ex-MLA Balwan Singh and others.
Azad's loyalists had joined Democratic Azad Party after quitting the Congress, which gained some spirit after winning the assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh.
