Assam: ULFA-I, NSCN-K call for Republic Day boycott
Guwahati: Banned militant outfits United Liberation Front of Asom - Independent (ULFA-I) and NSCN-K have issued its customary call for general strike on Jan 26 and appealed to the people of the region to boycott the Republic Day celebration.
In a joint statement, the banned militant outfits have called for a total shutdown on January 26 from 00.1 hours to 18.00 hours on January 26.
ULFA-I has sent the joint statement to the media houses via mail.
