Hubballi/UNI: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be visiting Hubballi-Dharwad and Belagavi in Karnataka on Jan 28 to participate in various events and hold a roadshow organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

This is Shah's second visit to the Kittur-Karnataka region where the BJP has a strong presence.

"Amit Shah will arrive, and stay in Hubballi on January 27 and the next day, he will attend two events. He will first attend KLE's BVB college's 75 years anniversary and inaugurate an indoor stadium. He will then lay the foundation for the Forensic Science Laboratory in Dharwad," Karnataka BJP General Secretary Mahesh Tenginkai told reporters here.

Shah will also participate in the party's Vijaya Sankalp Abhiyan in Kundgol and offer prayers at the 300-year-old Shambulingeshwara temple, he said adding that he will also visit the Basavanna Devara mutt there.

He will then hold a massive road show of about 1.5 km stretch organised in the Kundagol assembly segment, Tenginkai said. Pamphlet distribution and membership drive via missed calls will also be launched during the roadshow.

Shah will visit MK Hubballi near Kittur in Belagavi district to participate in a rally, which is part of the ongoing 'Jana Sankalpa Yatre', Tenginkai said.

After the rally, Shah will attend two meetings with regard to strengthening the party in the Belagavi district.

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, state party president Nalin Kumar Kateel, senior leader BS Yediyurappa and Union Minister Pralhad Joshi among others, will be participating in party programmes in Kundgol and MK Hubballi.
