AAP expresses disappointment over Union Budget
New Delhi/UNI: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday reacted to the ongoing Union Budget announcement and alleged it has disappointed the people of Delhi.
Addressing a press conference, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia alleged like in the last 22 years, this year too only Rs. 325 crore has been given to Delhi.
"Municipal Corporation of Delhi has not been given Re. 1 while money is given to every municipal corporation," Sisodia said.
"In the budget, there is no plan to fight inflation, remove unemployment and promote small traders. GST has not been reduced on the price of Petrol-Diesel and essential commodities," he added.
"There is no vision to remove unemployment. While every 10th youth of the country is unemployed. The world sees India as a consumer market. Increasing consumption increases employment. Unemployment cannot be removed by making only 4 capital projects," said Sisodia.
"This is the last budget of the second term of Narendra Modi Government. Every year since 2014, new phrases have been heard in the budget like 'Acche din' and '15 lakh' were just words, but what happened to the announcements of bullet train, to double the income of the farmers and last year promised 60 lakh jobs ?" he added.
