Jammu and Kashmir LG Manoj Kumar condemns terror attack on Hindu man

Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday condemned the terror attack on Sanjay Kumar, who was fired upon by terrorists in Pulwama and succumbed to injuries later.

"The Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, has strongly condemned the dastardly terror attack on Sanjay Kumar Sharma in Pulwama," the Raj Bhawan spokesman said.

"The administration is standing strong with the bereaved family. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family," Sinha said in a message.

He added, "The administration has given a free hand to the security forces to deal with the terrorists and we will continue to combat such acts of terrorism firmly and decisively."

Terrorists fired upon one civilian from minority namely Sanjay Sharma S/O Kashinath Sharma R/O Achan Pulwama while on way to local market,” the Kashmir zone police said in a tweet.

“He was shifted to hospital however, he succumbed to injuries. There was Armed guard in his village,” it added.

In October last year, Kashmiri Pandit farmer Puran Krishan Bhat was gunned down by suspected militants outside his house in Chowdhary Gund village of Shopian following which many Kashmiri Hindu families and Prime Minister Employment Package employees migrated to Jammu and demanding their relocation.
