Bangladesh-Argentina sign MoU to enhance bilateral trade, investment
Dhaka: Bangladesh and Argentina have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with an aim to enhance bilateral trade and investment between the two nations.
The South American country, one of the main food-producing nations in the world, is an important trading partner of Bangladesh, which imports several commodities, namely soybean seeds and soybean oil from Argentina, The Daily Star.
The MoU will create the opportunity to strengthen food security and bilateral trade, said the commerce ministry in a press release after the signing of the deal at its office today, the newspaper reported.
The moU was signed between Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi and Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of Argentina Santiago Andres Cafiero.
