New Delhi/IBNS: "Social justice has not been a political slogan but an 'Article of Faith' for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)," said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday.

Modi said this on the occasion of the party's 44th foundation day.

He said, "Many political parties, in the name of Social Justice, have just played with the country. On the other hand, Social Justice has not been a political slogan, but an 'Article of Faith' for the BJP!"

"As Karyakartas of the Bharatiya Janata Party, we must not limit ourselves to winning the elections. We must ensure winning the hearts of the people!"

"We have to fight each and every election with the same levels of energy and hard work as we have been having since 1980s," the Prime Minister added.

Modi further said, "BJP has taken birth from the womb of Democracy, has been nourished and nurtured with the 'Amrit' of Democracy, and has been deeply consecrated to strengthen the Constitution and Democracy!"

The BJP, which is spearheaded by the Prime Minister, will face its next political test in Karnataka which will go to polls in May.
