BJP's Anil Antony calls out Rahul Gandhi's 'hypocrisy' over BR Ambedkar
New Delhi/IBNS: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was one of the many Indian politicians who on Friday paid tribute to Father of Indian Constitution BR Ambedar on his 132nd birth anniversary.
Rahul tweeted, "Equality, liberty, fraternity & justice - the universal values Babasaheb Ambedkar championed, will always remain our guiding light & strength!

But the post triggered a counter-statement from Congress-turned Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Anil Antony who accused the grand old party of ignoring Ambedkar for the longest time.
Anil, the son of former Defence Minister and Congress leader AK Antony, highlighted how Congress stalwarts were awarded Bharat Ratna but Ambedkar had to wait for decades.
Anil tweeted, "Pt. Nehru passed away in 1964 , awarded himself a Bharat Ratna in 1955. Indira ji died in 1984, awarded herself a Bharat Ratna in 1971. Rajiv ji died in 1991 and was awarded a Bharat Ratna the same year in 1991. Dr. Ambedkar , the father of Indian constitution , member of Pt. Nehru’s first cabinet as independent India’s first law minister , died in 1956 , and was posthumously conferred his fully deserved Bharat Ratna , 34 years later in 1990 , by a non Congress government.
"After permanently neglecting one of India’s greatest, nice to see the hypocritical paeans these days by you @RahulGandhi and your @INCIndia partymen."
