'PM Modi's commitment to Indian people indescribable': US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo
New Delhi: US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo has described her meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during her recent visit to India as an “incredible opportunity” and added that she was able to witness the best of Indian culture, traditions, and celebrations during her tour.
Raimondo, who had an hour-long meeting with PM Modi, said he is the most popular world leader for a reason.
"I had an incredible opportunity to spend an hour and a half with Prime Minister Modi. He is the most popular world leader for a reason. He is unbelievable, visionary, and his level of commitment to the people of India is just indescribable," she said addressing a gathering of Indian Americans at the India House on Saturday.

The US Commerce Secretary said she went a day earlier to ensure she was able to participate in the Holi celebrations.
Recounting her visit, she said, "I went a day earlier so that I could have the opportunity to participate in Holi. And the defence minister was so gracious to host me with his family.”
At the beginning of this year, India and the United States announced collaborations in various domains such as space, defence, semiconductors, and advanced technologies.
During her speech at the India House, Raimondo said that India and America would lead the artificial intelligence revolution.
With new bilateral agreements in strategic areas, the US-India ties have deepened further, while isolating China.
