Indian man pees on co-passenger on board New York-Delhi flight: Reports
New Delhi/IBNS: An Indian man on a New York-Delhi American Airlines flight urinated on a co-passenger, media reports said Monday. This follows a similar incident on an Air India flight in Nov last year involving an Indian.
According to the airline staff, the accused passenger was deemed to be drunk and he urinated on the co-passenger during an argument.
He was arrested after the plane landed at the Delhi airport last night.
The aviation watchdog has taken appropriate action on receiving a report from the airline, reports said.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation will further investigate the matter as per its internal procedure.
American Airlines, in a statement, said it faced a "disruption on board" a flight bound for Delhi.
"American Airlines flight 292 with service from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) was met by local law enforcement upon arrival in DEL due to a disruption on board," it said.
The American Airlines flight reached the Delhi airport around 9 PM, but had to report the matter to the airport before landing.
A few months ago one Shankar Mishra on a New York-Delhi Air India flight (on Nov 26 last year) had allegedly urinated on a 72-year-old woman. He was arrested later.
