Bangalore: Karnataka will vote on Wednesday to elect a new Assembly as the fate of 2,615 candidates will be decided by voters on Wednesday.
Candidates are fighting to be elected across 224 assembly constituencies where polling will be held.
Polling will take place across 58,545 polling stations in the state.
Meanwhile, 42,48,028 new voters have been registered to vote for the current elections in the crucial south Indian state.
5.3 crore voters are expected to exercise their franchise today.
