New Delhi/IBNS: The provost of Delhi University has sent a notice to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi accusing him of trespassing and irresponsible behaviour over his "sudden" visit to the hostel last week.

In a two-page note, Provost KP Singh said the incident amounts to trespass and irresponsible behaviour.

"Such conduct from a leader of a National Party who has Z-plus security is beyond dignity," Singh said.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi interacted with students at the Post Graduate Men's Hostel of Delhi University on May 5 during his surprise visit.

The provost said Gandhi’s “unexpected entry” into the premises along with three vehicles violated the prescribed rules of the hostel.
