Union minister Anurag Thakur asks people to make Yoga part of their daily routine
Hamirpur/UNI: Union Information cum-Broadcasting Minister, Anurag Thakur on Wednesday exhorted the people to resort to Yoga on a daily basis and thereby keep them fit and healthy.
He said this after taking part in the World Yoga day function here Wednesday. He said Yoga was necessary for all and that was why it has been accepted by the United Nations and decided to observe June 21st as World Yoga day.
The World Yoga Day was also observed in all educational and other institutions of the district today with fanfare. Students in their school, dresses took part in the yogasans and made all the participants feel happy.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address was broadcast live on this occasion. Yoga instructors made everyone do yoga in the program.
DC Hamirpur Hemraj Bairwa, SP Hamirpur Aakriti Sharma were also present in the programme.
Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that due to the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Yoga Day is celebrated all over the world. The Prime Minister is celebrating Yoga Day in the United Nations with representatives of 180 countries around the world. This time the theme of Yoga Day was Vasudev Kutumbakam.
He said India has been following this tradition. Even during the pandemic, India did this through vaccine friendship. Through this initiative, the world will move towards a healthy environment.
He told reporters that after getting a new building for the National Center of Excellence for SAI, which was recently opened in Hamirpur adding that this center will be a boon for the players. He said soon a building will be constructed here and hostel facilities will also be made available to the players. Coaches will also be posted here soon.
On the question of the inauguration of the Manali-Kiratpur four-lane, Union Minister Anurag Thakur said it was opened for some time for trial run. This time it has rained before time, due to which there has been some disturbance in the work. Soon this project will be launched, he added.
