New Delhi: INS Sunayna, based at Southern Naval Command Kochi, entered Port Beira, Mozambique on June 28.
The ship was received by Mozambique Navy personnel and DA Pretoria, amidst fanfare of military band, read the Indian government statement.
To enhance Maritime partnership and interoperability, both Navies will engage in professional exchanges, cross deck visits and sports fixtures.
The ship will be conducting a medical camp as part of Indian Navy's community outreach programme. On completion of harbour phase, a joint EEZ surveillance with Mozambique Navy is also planned.
