Former Uttar Pradesh CM Akhilesh Yadav urges opposition to unite and oust BJP
Hyderabad: Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav on Monday called on opposition parties to unite in order to oust the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from power at the Centre.
Speaking to media at Begumpet Airport, Yadav, who arrived in Hyderabad for a meeting with Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, emphasised that the primary objective of the opposition is to remove the BJP from power.
He stressed the need for opposition parties to come together against the BJP. Yadav stated that his visit is intended to discuss matters with CM KCR, emphasising that the common goal is to remove the BJP from power.
Earlier, he was received at the Begumpet Airport by Animal Husbandry Minister Srinivas Yadav, Roads and Buildings Minister Vemula Prasanth Reddy, MLC Palla Rajeswar Reddy and other BRS leaders.
He is expected to meet CM KCR at Pragathi Bhavan. Discussions on the national political situation, Uniform Civil Code, General elections, and other pertinent issues are expected to take place during the meeting.
Later, Yadav will depart for Uttar Pradesh, as per the sources.
