Narendra Modi meets COP28 President-designate Sultan Al Jaber in UAE, discusses ways to further sustainable development
Abu Dhabi: Indian PM Narendra Modi, who was on an official visit to the UAE, met President-designate of COP28, Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, here on Saturday.
Modi said he had a 'productive' discussion with Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber.

He tweeted: " Had a very productive meeting with Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, the President-designate of @COP28_UAE . Our discussions focused on ways to further sustainable development. Highlighted India’s contribution in this direction, in particular our emphasis on Mission LiFE."
"The discussions took place on the forthcoming COP-28 of UNFCCC under UAE's Presidency. Dr. Jaber briefed Prime Minister on UAE's approach to this important meeting. Prime Minister conveyed India’s full support to UAE for its COP-28 Presidency. Prime Minister also highlighted India's efforts and initiatives to address climate change, including International SolarAlliance, Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure, International Year of Millets and Mission Lifestyle for Environment (LiFE)," read a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs.
The discussions also covered energy cooperation between India and UAE.
Modi met top UAE leaders during his visit to the country.
Modi arrived in the UAE after completing his visit to France.
