Agra: A man hacked his two brothers and injured his father with a sharp-edged weapon allegedly over a property dispute in the Karagol area of Agra district here in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, police sources said here.

Police sources told UNI that Rajendra Singh, a resident of Ghari Kalia village, had five sons of which two work in Mathura.

"Rajendra owns ancestral land in the village and his three sons wanted division which led to disputes in the family in the past," they said.

Police sources said that on Tuesday morning a panchayat was being held in Rajendra's house for the division of the land.

"During this Rajendra's eldest son Kalua attacked his brothers Som Prakash and Hem Prakash with a stick hitting them on their head," they said.

Police sources said that after this Kalua attacked his brothers with an axe killing them on the spot.

"When Rajendra attempted to intervene Kalua attacked him as well and injured him. The father has been admitted to SN medical college," they said.

Police sources said that when the villagers gathered at Rajendra's house after hearing the noise, Kalua and his two brothers, who were supporting him, fled from the spot.

"Police Commissioner Dr Pritinder Singh visited the spot and inquired about the incident," they said.
