Mumbai/IBNS/UNI: To expose the corruption of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in front of the public, the second leg of Bharat Jodo Yatra, under the leadership of AICC leader Rahul Gandhi, will start from Gujarat and also cover Maharashtra, Nana Patole, president of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC), announced on Tuesday.

Addressing a press conference here, he said that the padayatra will be held in six divisions of the state and he will lead the padayatra in Nagpur division, Leader of Opposition Vijay Wadettiwar in Amravati division, former chief minister Ashok Chavan in Marathwada division, Legislature Party leader Balasaheb Thorat in North Maharashtra division and Mumbai Pradesh Congress president Varsha Gaikwad in Mumbai.

In the Konkan division, all the leaders will come together and take out a padayatra, Patole informed and said senior leaders have been given the responsibility to take out padayatras in all the districts of the state.

After this padayatra, entire Maharashtra will be toured through bus yatra, he said.

The MPCC chief accused the BJP government of misleading the countrymen by making false promises, while the problems of farmers, workers, poor, working people, youth, and women remain unresolved.

The BJP government both at the Centre and the state has failed to tackle the issues concerning common people such as inflation, unemployment, law and order, the Congress leader charged.

"The BJP government is working for its friends and ignoring the problems of the common people," he alleged.

All these issues will be presented to the public through meetings during the yatra, Patole said.
