Ranchi: Supriyo Mazumdar, PO of the Bank of India branch in Ranchi's Harmu Sahajanand Chowk, committed suicide, police said.

His body was found late last night at his home in Anantapuri, Ranchi, according to police sources in this area.

The scene has yielded a five-page suicide note.

Although the CBI had cleared Supriyo of any wrongdoing in a case two years prior, it is claimed in the suicide note that IO A Samad of Ramgarh Police Station and the DSP's reader had threatened to throw him to jail in a case.

Alok Majumdar, Supriyo's father, and his wife resided in Anantapuri.

Family members claim that at two o'clock in the afternoon, Supriyo spoke with a buddy.

At 4:30 pm, the puja committee had a meeting. Supriyo brought his father by scooty to the committee office to attend.

He then went back home.

The door was locked from the inside when his father arrived home at night.

Supriyo Majumdar's body was lying there when the folks around busted down the door after making a lot of commotion but receiving no answer from inside.

He was taken to a neighboring hospital and later pronounced dead by the staff there.
Police arrived at the scene after gathering information regarding the event.

The dead body was taken into custody by the police, who then sent it to RIMS for a postmortem.
