G20: Narendra Modi to meet Joe Biden, Sheikh Hasina today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold bilateral meetings with US President Joe Biden, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Prime Minister of Mauritius Pravind Jugnaut at his residence here on Friday.

In social media post X, formally known as Twitter, Modi said, "This evening, I look forward to three bilateral meetings at my residence. I will be meeting Mauritius PM @KumarJugnauth, Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina and @POTUS @JoeBiden"

"The meetings will give an opportunity to review India's bilateral ties with these nations and further strengthen developmental cooperation" he added.

During the G20 Summit, the Prime Minister will hold over 15 bilateral meetings with world leaders in the next three days.

On Saturday, in addition to the G20 meetings, the Prime Minister will hold bilateral meetings with leaders from the UK, Japan, Germany and Italy.

On Sunday, the Prime Minister will hold a working lunch meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron. On the same day he will hold a pull aside meeting with Canadian President, and bilateral meetings with leaders from Comoros, Türkiye, UAE, South Korea, European Union, European Commission, Brazil and Nigeria.

Meanwhile, India is all set to host the 18th G-20 Summit in New Delhi beginning tomorrow as the Global leaders are arriving in the city to attend the Summit.

More than 30 heads of state and top officials from the European Union, invited guest countries, and 14 heads of international organizations are expected to attend.

Ahead of the summit, strict traffic curbs have been put in place to restrict the movement of vehicles in the area where the G20 summit venue and hotels for delegates are located.
