Four people were killed, and four others sustained injuries when their van, while traveling on a ghat road, lost control and plunged 200 meters into a deep valley at Chikhaldara in the Amravati district of Maharashtra on Sunday.

The victims, who hailed from Adilabad and Nalgonda districts of Telangana, were on their way to see a waterfall at Amaravathi when the accident occurred, according to reports.

The injured have been admitted to Maravathi and Parkwada hospitals for treatment.
