Kolkata/IBNS/UNI: Like previous years, the Kolkata Metro Railway will run night-long services on its North-South route for the benefit of the Durga puja revellers on the pandal-hopping spree, a top official said on Friday.
Metro will run 288 services (144 UP &144 DN) on Panchami (Oct 19), and Sasthi (Oct 20) for the convenience of its passengers from 6-50 am to midnight.
During peak hours, metros will be available at 5-6 minutes intervals, said Kaushik Mitra, Chief Public Relations Officer of Kolkata Metro Railway.
Metro will run 248 services (124 UP & 124 DN) on Saptami (Oct 21) Ashtami (Oct 22) and Nabami (Oct 23) for the convenience of its passengers from 12-55 pm to 5 am. During peak hours, metro services will be available at 6-7 minutes intervals.
Metro will run 132 services (66 UP & 66 DN) on Dashami (Oct 24) from 1 pm to 11 pm. During peak hours, Metros will be available at 7 minute intervals.
Metro will run 234 services (117 UP &117 DN) for the next three days for the convenience of passengers from 6-50 am to 22-35 pm. During peak hours, Metro will be available at a 7-minute interval.
Normal services will be available from Oct 29.
