Karnataka Home Minister on attending Pran Prathistha ceremony at Ayodhya: It's up to high command
Bengaluru/UNI: Karnataka Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara on Monday said all the Congressmen will attend the Pran Parathista ceremony of Ram Lalla at Ayodhya if the party high command decides.
"It is up to the high command to decide because they should not make this a political event. It is a pro-people (event) of India. They should invite, and everybody should be participating in it, and if Congress high command decides to go there, certainly all of us will go," he told reporters here.
Asked if it is becoming difficult to attend Pran Prathistha of Ram Lalla at Ayodhya due to the pressures of the INDIA Alliance, Dr Parameshwara said, "I don't know what is happening at Delhi. Sitting here in Bangalore I can't be talking about their decision. If the high command says, yes (we will all go)."
Asked if one party is taking credit for the consecration of Ram Lalla at Ayodhya, Dr. Parameshwara said it should not be politicised because Ram belonged to all, not particularly to one political party.
"Rama has given the best of the administration according to our history books, and everybody follows Rama's philosophy and administration. And Ram Rajya is supposed to be the best of the administrative system. So, everybody wants that," he said.
Yesterday, Congress leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam said those who won't attend the Pran Prathistha ceremony despite being invited, it is their misfortune.
The comment came as Karnataka minister Dasharathaiah Sudhakar said the BJP was exploiting the event ahead of the election like it did Pulwama before the 2019 election.
Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah said Ram Mandir is good news and they are in favour of the temple.
