New Delhi/IBNS: A flier of airline IndiGo has slapped the aircraft pilot who was making an announcement of delay, a video which went viral on social media shows.

In the video, a flier in a yellow hoodie is seen coming from behind and slapping the pilot while the latter was making the announcement on the Delhi-Goa bound flight, which was delayed for hours on Sunday due to dense fog.

The passenger, who has been identified as Sahil Kataria, shouted at the pilot and air hostess, "Fly the plane or open the gate."

Kataria was taken out of the plane and handed over the authority following the incident.

Anup Kumar, the co-captain of the flight who was physically assaulted, has filed a complaint with the police.

The airline too is set to file an official complaint.

Several flights in Delhi have been delayed over dense fog causing disruptions at the airport in the national capital.
