S Jaishankar meets Sheikh Hasina, thanks her for guidance in furthering India-Bangladesh ties

Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Saturday met Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina and appreciated her guidance for taking 'India Bangladesh Maitri' forward.

Jaishankar also praised her for winning the general polls last month.

"Honored to call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh. Congratulated her on the renewed mandate," the Indian Minister posted on X.

Sheikh Hasina and Awami League won the Bangladesh polls for the fifth term.

They met on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.

Jaishanakr has met several top leaders so far on the sidelines of the event.
