Three contract killers arrested in Pune

The city police of the crime Branch on Monday arrested three persons including a wrestler from Madhya Pradesh on the charge of attempt to murder.

ACP Sunil Tambe and senior police officer Sabir Shaikh of crime Branch on Monday said all three three including the wrestler Faizal Khan and his accomplices were arrested from Madhya Pradesh.

Police sources said all three came to Pune to kill a businessman after receiving a " Supari" ( Contract) from a relative of the Victim.

Faizal Khan, the wrestler, along with his accomplices came to Apte Road, Pune on February 4. On the pretext of asking for an address, they suddenly threw red chili powder on the face of the businessman and stabbed him with a sharp weapon injuring him seriously.

The crime branch Unit One has been investigating the case since then.

Based on a complaint filed by the victim with the Deccan police station Police had initially arrested Mahesh Mahadev Thombre and Ashwini Kumar Seshrao Patil on suspicious.

During interrogation, Ashwini confessed to the crime and told the Police that that he had given Rs 50,000 to Faizal Khan to kill his relative.
