Kolkata/IBNS: A confrontation between Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s Hooghly candidate in West Bengal, Locket Chatterjee, and a person claiming to be polling agent broke out on Monday.

In a video which was circulated online, Locket was seen confronting a person, who initially claimed to be a polling agent and later said he was a reliever.

Locket confronted him, took away his voter ID and asked him to leave the polling station.

Locket alleged the person was sitting outside the booth as a polling agent even after a TMC agent was inside.

In Hooghly, Locket is taking on actress-turned- politician Rachana Banerjee, who is TMC's candidate.

In a separate incident, Locket faced a "Go-Back" slogan from the TMC supporters who claimed the outgoing BJP MP never visited them in the last five years.

"Where was she during Covid times? She didn't turn up once in five years," said a woman, who is assumed to be a TMC supporter.

In reply, Locket said, "They are miffed because I have hurt where it hurts."

The results will be declared on June 4.
