A popular YouTuber from Chennai landed himself in trouble after he revealed the gender of his unborn child in a vlog, media reports said.

Irfan, who has millions of subscribers on YouTube, said he and his wife travelled to Dubai to determine the gender of the foetus.

They had revealed the gender of the child in one of the vlogs.

Apart from this, the couple shared the footage of the examination as well as doctors' suggestions.

After they made the vlog, the YouTuber was served a notice by the Tamil Nadu Health Department.

In India, identification of the child's gender is a punishable offence under the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) Act.

Irfan said he has taken down the vlog and will also respond to the notice served to him.

Irfan is a food vlogger on Youtube and has 4.29 million subscribers.

The YouTuber shares various reviews of food. He even did an episode with popular actor Naga Chaitanya.
