US President Joe Biden and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi have decided to continue to work together to further strengthen the relationship between the two countries.

Biden had a telephone conversation with Modi when the US President congratulated the BJP strongman for registering victory in the Lok Sabha polls.

"While thanking President Biden, PM called it a victory of democracy and the democratic world," read a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs.

"The two leaders agreed to continue working together to further strengthen the India-U.S. Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership, for global good," the statement said.

The Indian PM congratulated Biden for co-hosting the ongoing T20 World Cup.

The USA shocked the cricketing world after they defeated former T20 World Cup champion Pakistan in Super Over clash of the tournament.

USA has won so far two matches they have played in the group stage of the tournament.
