Days after a video went viral where a woman was seen mercilessly beaten up by an alleged Trinamool Congress strongman in North Dinajpur district, another video has now emerged where a teenager and his mother were seen assaulted in West Bengal's Ariadaha region.

A ruling Trinamool Congress-backed miscreant and his gang members are said to be behind the incident.

The mother and her son are currently in hospital and their condition is said to be critical.

The latest incident reportedly occurred on Sunday when the teenager, a college student, clashed with a local.

Jayant Singh, who is purportedly backed by the ruling TMC, allegedly attacked the student with his aides, reported ABP Live.

His mother rushed to help him when his son beaten up by miscreants with sticks and bricks in front of the house.

She was also allegedly thrashed by the attackers.

Six arrested

A police official at Belgharia Police Station told IBNS, "A complaint has been registered at Belgharia PS based on which an FIR has been lodged."

"Six people have been arrested so far in connection with the incident. Investigation is currently going on," the official said.

Trinamool leader and Chairman of Kamarhati Municipality Gopal Saha has assured the strictest action over the incident, reported ABP Live.

Chopra horror

A video clip of a woman being beaten up mercilessly along with another man in an instance of what seemed like a "kangaroo court justice" by an alleged Trinamool Congress strongman in North Dinajpur district of West Bengal has gone viral, triggering an outrage with the Opposition launching a blistering attack on the Mamata Banerjee government.

The incident occurred in Lakshmipur area of Chopra block in North Dinajpur where the woman was beaten up by a man in public as a crowd that gathered watched the assault without protest.

The incident reportedly occurred at an "arbitration meeting" and the opposition BJP and the Left alleged that the assailant is local strongman named Tajemul who has Trinamool Congress connections and is known for such acts with impunity.

Instead of involving police the Trinamool Congress strongman reportedly decided to serve "instant justice" and beat up the woman mercilessly kicking her and pulling her by her hair. While the woman screamed for help, no one came forward to rescue her.

The perpetrator also attacked a man along with the woman as he beat up both with a stick. The cause of the assault is not yet known.

The incident reportedly occurred over the weekend. The video has not been verified by IBNS.

The BJP earlier alleged that a Muslim woman was stripped and beaten in Coochbehar district of West Bengal for supporting their party.

BJP IT Cell Head Amit Malviya identified the woman as Rosonara Khatun. He said she is a member of the party's minority Morcha.
