"I look forward to joining my colleagues President Biden, Prime Minister Albanese and Prime Minister Kishida for the Quad Summit. The forum has emerged as a key group of like-minded countries to work for peace, progress and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region," the Prime Minister said in his departure statement.

The Prime Minister will meet the Indian diaspora and important American business leaders.
The Quad meeting, to be attended by the leaders of Australia and Japan, will also be a farewell meeting for President Biden.
While Biden is not running for a second term in the US presidential elections, Japan's Prime Minister Fumio Kishida is also set to resign from his post.
Quad is a diplomatic partnership between four countries comprising Australia, India, Japan, and the United States.
In recent years, Quad Foreign Ministers have met eight times and Quad governments continue to meet and coordinate at all levels.
Modi will also address the 'Summit of the Future' at the United Nations General Assembly in New York on September 23.
The theme of the Summit is 'Multilateral Solutions for a Better Tomorrow'.

The Indian Prime Minister is expected to meet former US President Donald Trump, who is contesting the Presidential elections against the Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.
Days ago, Trump lauded Modi calling him "fantastic" but recognised the South Asian country as "tough" and "abuser" when it comes to tariffs.
Trump, whose bonhomie with Modi was evident during the former tenure from 2016-2020, said, "So when India, which is a very big abuser. He (Narendra Modi) happens to be coming to meet me next week. And, Modi is a fantastic man. A lot of these leaders are fantastic... These people are the sharpest people.
"They are not a little bit backward... They are at the top of their game and they use it against us. But India is very tough. Brazil is very tough... China is the toughest of all. But we are taking care of China with the tariffs."
