Paid news: Milind Deora, Sanjay Nirupam found guilty

Mumbai, Apr 30 (IBNS) The Election Commission (EC) on Wednesday found four Maharashtra candidates guilty - Milind Deora, Sanjay Nirupam, Vishwajeet Kadam and Deepak Shirole - of allegedly paying money to the media to promote them.
Congress leaders Deora, Nirupam and Kadam are contesting from Mumbai South, Mumbai North and Pune respectively.
 
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shirole is contesting against Kadam from Pune.
 
The EC-appointed Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC) found them guilty of resorting to paid news.
