11.23 per cent polling in first two hours of Bihar voting
According to the Election Commission, 11.23 per cent polling has been recorded till nine a.m.
In the last phase of the five-phase, 1.55 crore electorates will decide the fate of 827 candidates who are in fray for 57 seats spread across nine districts.
In a bid to ensure fair elections, tight security arrangements have been made across the constituencies in the state.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged voters to exercise their franchise in the final phase of polling.
At least 11.23 percent voters have cast their votes so far.
The polls assumes significance as it will witness a battle between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Janata Dal (United) , the Congress and the Rashtriya Janata Dal.
During the campaigning, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi had regularly exchanged barbs which had set the tone for a crucial Assembly polls in the state.
