15 school children injured as bus falls off bridge in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, July 21 (IBNS) : At least 15 school children were injured, four of them seriously,  after the vehicle carrying them fell off a bridge in Chhattisgarh, media reports said quoting police on Saturday.

The accident occurred in Korba district, some 230 km from state capital Raipur.

The school bus fell 30 feet down into a marshy field.

All the school children have been hospitalized, where the condition of four is stated to be serious.

The driver has been arrested for alleged negligence.

The children were students of Kendriya Vidyalaya NTPC in Korba district, about 230 kilometres off Raipur, the state capital.

A probe has been ordered into the incident.
