3 civilians hurt as Pakistan fires mortars, small arms at LoC in Poonch

Jammu, Apr 12 (UNI) As many as three civilians were injured as Pakistan shelled forward villages and posts by firing unprovoked along the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.

After a brief lull, Pakistan again violated the ceasefire.

"Pakistan troops this morning at around 0830 hours initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by shelling with mortars and firing of small arms along LoC in Sawjian Sector of Poonch," Defence spokesperson here said.

Indian Army was retaliating befittingly, he further said.

The injured civilians were identified as Tasveer Akhter(18),resident of village Chapprian, Shabina Akhter (18), and Mohammad Ishaq (20), he added.
