4-member team from AIIMS to examine autopsy report of Sushant Singh Rajput

Mumbai/IBNS: A four-member team from All India Institute Of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi will examine the autopsy report of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) approached the hospital for assistance.

NDTV quoting sources reported that the AIIMS team will be led by Dr Sudhir Gupta, Head of Forensic Medicines, and the CBI will share the autopsy and viscera reports in a couple of days.

This comes after the Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered a probe into the actor's death by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday.

The top court has held the Bihar government's recommendation of a CBI probe into Sushant's death valid.

Sushant had committed suicide at his own flat in Mumbai's Bandra on Jun 14.

Though the Mumbai Police were probing into the suicide, Sushant's father KK Singh lodged a First Information Report (FIR) with Bihar Police alleging that Sushant's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty had siphoned off Rs 15 crore from his son's account and other accounts of companies floated with his investments.

As per the recommendation by the Bihar government, the death case was handed over to the CBI by the central government.
