5.6 magnitude earthquake hits J&K, tremors felt in Srinagar
Srinagar, Feb 5 (IBNS): An earthquake of 5.6 magnitude hit Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday evening, media reports said.
As a result, moderate tremors were felt in Srinagar and other parts of the Kashmir Valley.
The tremors were reportedly felt at 10:17 pm. It lasted several seconds.
Feeling the tremors, several people ran out of their homes.
The epicentre of the earthquake was located at a depth of 40 kilometres in northwestern Kashmir.
