7 Maoists killed in Chhattisgarh encounter
Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh, Aug 3 (UNI) Seven Maoists - including four women - were neutralised early Saturday during an encounter, following a tip-off, on the hills between Sherpur and Sitagota forests adjoining Maharashtra.
"District police, District Reserve Group and State Armed Force personnel executed the action. An AK-47 assault rifle, a .303 rifle, a 12-bore gun, a single-shot rifle and ammunition were appropriated," Additional Superintendent of Police Gorakhnath Baghel said.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel felicitated the law-enforcement authorities.
